Charlie and I caught frogs. This is the biggest one. This one we caught at hole 1 and the other one we caught at hole 8 in Fillmore. We kept the frogs for 2 days and then put them back in their pond.
This morning Gary had the great idea to make some pies to take to some of our neighbors, so we had a fun morning making these--Marie Callendars frozen pie crust, homemade vanilla custard pudding, fruit, and glaze. Hope everyone has a happy pioneer day, holiday or not (depending of where you live!) We love you--Jane & Gary
WE WENT HIKING TODAY - WE ALL MADE IT EASILY TO CECRET LAKE! CHARLIE AND CALVIN TOUCHED A SALAMANDER - it was my first time ever seeing one and I've done that hike about 20 times. MOM and DAD FED A POTGUT! It was a really beautiful morning.
Mike, Mary and Sarah came out to visit last week. Mary went to orientation and spent the night at her dorm at the U. We went down to St. George for the 4th and had a blast! We spent lots of time relaxing at the St. George pool and slept on the roof of the Ely's house. It was great to have them out here--can't wait until Mary and Sarah are out here for good!
Here are a few pictures from our trip to Block Island with Carly's family. We stayed at a really fun bed & breakfast about a mile and a half away from the little town area and the beach. We rented bikes and had a fun time riding around the island, watching the fireworks & the parade, and eating lots of good seafood. Hope you guys all had a fun holiday weekend too. Nick
